The proper way to ice an injury is to wrap the ice pack in a towel and rest it on your injury for about 15 to 20 minutes, then remove the ice for about 45 minutes. Repeat this as many times as you can during the first 48 hours. If you don’t have an ice pack, use a bag of frozen vegetables.
