Ingrown Toenails

This is the most common painful affliction a Podiatrist sees. An ingrown toenail occurs when an edge of the toenail curves into the skin. The edge has become like a razor blade and every step the razor blade digs into the skin. A bacterial infection quickly follows this classic presentation along with swelling; redness and PAIN! Generally, this starts as a small problem. However, if you are Diabetic or have impaired circulation the problem becomes much, much more severe!

There are many different ways to treat an ingrown toenail. (If you are reading this you have probably already tried them!) Under sterile conditions in this office this painful problem can easily be fixed.
